Non-Profits

Nonprofit organizations that meet specific criteria can purchase surplus property from the Commonwealth. Eligible entities, and program requirements, are as follows:

Nonprofit healthcare organizations: Must be nonprofit and tax-exempt and be licensed or approved by the governing agency of the Commonwealth; and must have signed the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Assurance of Compliance form. For eligibility application, click here.

Nonprofit educational services: Must be nonprofit and tax-exempt and the institution must be accredited or approved by a recognized organization or body; and must have signed the GSA Assurance form. For eligibility application, click here.

Public educational facilities and activities: Must conform with the definition of one category of eligible institutions; schools, colleges, universities, and school systems must be accredited; must have signed GSA Assurance of Compliance form. For eligibility application, click here.

Apprenticeships: Certain joint apprenticeship programs may purchase surplus property. For eligibility application, click here.

Museums: For eligibility application, click here.

Private nonprofit educational organizations: Private colleges and universities, business schools, childcare centers, libraries, certain special needs schools, and educational radio and television stations may also purchase surplus property. For eligibility application, click here.
