Training and Certification

The Bureau of Capital Outlay Management offers training in the application and use of the Commonwealth's Construction and Professional Services Manual (CPSM). The Bureau also offers additional training for state agency and local government personnel leading to certification as a Virginia Construction Contracting Officer (VCCO).

The Virginia Institute of Procurement delivers procurement education to public procurement professionals. The program currently offers professional certification at two levels: Virginia Contracting Associate Officer (VCA) and Virginia Contracting Officer (VCO).
