Commonwealth on call for Employees 24/7

Beginning September, the Department of General Services’ (DGS) Office of Fleet Management Services (OFMS) will manage a new Vehicle Management Control Center (VMCC) with an onsite call center.The onsite call center staffed with Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified technicians will help the Commonwealth provide 24 hours a day, 7days a week, 365 days a year emergency roadside service and vehicle maintenance support to drivers of state owned and operated vehicles.

In addition to VMCC, the OFMS will implement a new automated system to assist with data reporting, the Fleet Management System (FMS) with the FASTER software application.The FMS and FASTER software application will help gather single-car vehicle operating and performance data making reporting easier and more efficient for the Commonwealth.
