Test Description

Cyanide is converted to a gas and then to cyanogen chloride and measured spectrophotometrically.

Sample Collection

Collect aqueous samples in amber glass bottles. Samples should be de-chlorinated using Sodium Arsenite prior to collection and pH adjustment. Samples must be preserved with sodium hydroxide to pH 12 – 12.5.

Storage Guidelines

Store samples at 0 - 4 °C and analyze within 14 days.
