Total Coliform and E. coli in Drinking Water by Colilert Quanti-Tray

Test Description

Colilert medium is used with the Quanti-Tray/2000 multiple well format for simultaneous estimation of the density of total coliforms and E. coli in a 100 mL sample.

Sample Collection

Samples are collected in DCLS supplied bottles within the bottle expiration date. At least 100 mL of sample must be collected and the entire sample is consumed in analysis making repeat or duplicate testing not feasable.

Storage Guidelines

If a sample cannot be analyzed immediately and is still within the 30 hour hold time, the sample can be stored in a refrigerator at 2 to 8 ºC.
