Cronin Award
  • The Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of General Services, Division of Purchases and Supply receives an honorable mention for calendar year 2018 submission, "Blended Learning: A 21st Century Learning Design in Virginia Public Procurement- Commonwealth of Virginia".
  • In honor of the 40th Anniversary of the Cronin Awards program, the Cronin Heritage Award was created to recognize the history of excellence that the Cronin Awards represent. The NASPO membership selected Virginia's eVA Mobile Apps for this special, one-time Cronin Award as it embodied the most innovative procurement initiative in the past decade.
  • eVA wins national award for innovation for mobile applications to support statewide electronic procurement program, eVA Commonwealth of Virginia was the “Gold Award Winner”
  • Virginia was recognized for its two enterprise eProcurement mobile apps eVA Mobile 4 Business and eVA Mobile 4 Approvers which puts state, local and higher education bidding processes directly at the fingertips of users and gives business unit approvers real-time access to approve requisitions. These apps provide a fast, secure and easy way to conduct thorough reviews of solicitations and keep purchase processes moving from the convenience of any mobile device.
Covits 2018 Award
Department of General Services, eVA Quick Quote receives
Governor's Technology Award for Innovative Use of Big Data and Analytics. Through analysis of Quick Quote data, eVA identified the ideal number of bids to receive maximum savings and additionally was able to identify a total savings of $17,735,743 over three fiscal years via competition created through Quick Quote. The savings realized supports entities in determining how best to use eVA tools and also allows the eVA team to demonstrate quantifiable value provided by using eVA.
The Commonwealth of Virginia ranked second in the nation in the Governing Institute’s inaugural Procurement Survey of the States. The rankings recognize states for technological innovation, transparency and strategic methods in providing public bodies with goods, services and information technology.

12 consecutive National Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Awards

The Department of General Services, Division of Purchases and Supply was awarded the 2016 Achievement of Excellence In Procurement (AEP) Award, which it has earned annually since 2005. The AEP Award is presented to state procurement operations that achieve excellence in innovation, professionalism, productivity, e-procurement and leadership attributes.

Sponsors of the award are the National Purchasing Institute, Institute for Supply Management, National Association of State Procurement Officials and National Institute of Governmental Purchasing among others.

2014 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 Award
eVA was named as part of the 2014 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100. The 2014 Supply & Demand Chain Executive 100 are leading supply chain solution and service providers that are helping their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence. They have produced measurable gains in ROI through cost-cutting, and increased efficiency, whether in warehouse, transportation, procurement sourcing or other categories in the end-to-end supply chain.
Excellence In Partnership Award 2007
The Commonwealth of Virginia's eVA Program worked with the Federal General Services Administration's Advantage System Program to establish the FIRST state and GSA "punchout" from eVA to GSA Advantage. This punchout allows Virginia buyers to place technology purchases through eVA using the GSA IT Schedules on the GSA Advantage System and then place the purchase order from eVA.
Innovation In Government Award
eVA was presented with the 2007 Innovation In Government Award at the 3rd Annual Excellence in Virginia Government Awards (EVGA) Ceremony, held in late November of 2007. EVGA is the signature event of the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs. The awards celebrate outstanding individuals and organizations, in the public and private sector, which have made noteworthy contributions to the practice of government and to the welfare of our communities and citizens. All proceeds from the Excellence in Virginia Government Awards are used to fund scholarships for Wilder School students.
