Department of General Services



The Art and Architectural Review Board (AARB) reviews and advises the Governor on the acquisition and design of works of art, buildings and structures on property owned by the Commonwealth of Virginia.

AARB meets year-round on a monthly basis and is comprised of six members, to include a designee of the Department of Historic Resources, and five citizen members appointed by the Governor. Agencies are responsible for submitting project information to AARB for its consideration. Information on submission requirements and timelines may be found below.

Official minutes will not be posted until they are approved by the Board at the next meeting and signed by the Director of the Department of General Services.
