New VMCC Phone Number
The Vehicle Management Control Center (VMCC) is available to assist drivers of FMS pool vehicles and enrolled public body vehicles with vehicle maintenance, breakdown assistance, and vehicle crashes. The VMCC is available at (804) 322-9037.

Business Units
Division of Engineering & Buildings
Supports the DEB Director in his legislatively-mandated role as the Building Official for construction on state property. Also provides project cost review services to assist with capital budget development and execution.
Division of Consolidated Laboratory Services
Provides around-the-clock, high quality analytical testing services and support to local, state and federal agencies that serve to protect the health, safety and security of the public.
Division of Purchases and Supply
Provides services that make it easier and more convenient to do business with the Commonwealth and make it simpler and more cost efficient for the government to do its business.
Division of Real Estate Services
Manages the Commonwealth’s broad portfolio of leases, sells, or assists with redeploying underutilized real estate assets and oversees other real estate transactions as needed by state agencies.
Division of Capitol Square Services
A customer-focused organization whose primary function is to provide a quality environment for the approximately 75 state agencies that occupy the facilities overseen by DGS.
Division of Fleet Management Services
Oversees the maintenance, repair, and replacement of the statewide fleet, and manages the fuel contracts, short-term rental contracts, and alternative fuel contracts that are used by state and local governments throughout the Commonwealth.
Office of Parking and Badging
Responsible for administering the state employee parking program as well as operating and securing DGS parking facilities at the seat of government. Provides convenient, cost-effective parking for state employees in the Capitol Complex.
Office of Surplus Property Management
Redistributes a wide range of surplus state and federal property to agencies of the Commonwealth, qualified nonprofit organizations, small businesses in the SBA 8(a) program, and the public.
Office of State Mail Services
Provides consolidated mail operations for state government in the Capitol District.
